FrameSense Captures What Motion-Activated Security Cameras Miss. Here’s Why It Matters.
When you install a security camera, you expect it to capture everything important. How can you be sure that it does?
Not all wireless solar security cameras record 24/7. Many only record when motion is detected, potentially missing what happened before.
Many cameras only start recording when motion is detected. This helps conserve battery life. But it also means important moments can happen before recording begins.
That’s where Premium Invention’s FrameSense technology changes the way security cameras work.
Why Don’t All Wireless Solar Security Cameras Record Continuously?
Most traditional security cameras use Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensors. These sensors detect changes in body heat and activate the camera when movement is detected.
The limitation? The camera may not be recording until something triggers it.
PIR detection can struggle when:
- Someone is too far away. A person may be visible in the camera’s view, but outside the sensor’s detection range.
- Someone approaches directly. PIR sensors generally detect movement across their field of view more effectively than movement straight toward them.
- Outside temperatures are high. When body temperature is close to the surrounding temperature, heat-based detection can become less reliable.
- The camera needs to wake up. Some PIR cameras take time to activate and begin recording after motion is detected.
As a result, you might receive a motion alert without having footage of what happened beforehand.
What is FrameSense and How Does It Change How P2 Records?
FrameSense is Premium Invention’s most advanced detection technology that allows P2 to record continuously instead of waiting for motion to trigger it.
Typical PIR cameras are designed to record when their sensors detect movement.
Instead of relying solely on heat-based motion detection, FrameSense combines continuous recording with visual change detection.
Here’s how it works:
Always
Recording
P2 saves a 4K frame every second, even when nothing is happening
FrameSense Detects
Visual Changes
When activity enters the scene, P2 detects the visual change instead of waiting for that trigger
Full Video
Takes Over
P2 automatically records full 4K video at 15 fps, with the initial activity already captured in its 24/7 recording.
The biggest difference? FrameSense is already recording before an event triggers motion detection. That means you can look back at what happened before, during, and after an incident.
Can P2 Really Record 24/7?
Yes. P2 combines a 15W solar panel with 26,000mAh of battery capacity to support FrameSense’s power-efficient recording.
It’s designed to provide up to 60 days of continuous recording per full charge.
Unlike conventional continuous full-frame-rate recording, FrameSense uses a power-efficient recording approach: capturing one 4K frame per second and only increasing it to 15 fps when activity is detected.
This makes always-recording security practical for homes, construction sites, farms, warehouses, and remote properties.

Don’t Just Capture the Moment. Capture the Whole Story.
A security camera shouldn’t leave you wondering what happened before an alert.
With FrameSense, Premium Invention’s P2 goes beyond traditional motion-triggered recording to give you a more complete picture of what’s happening on your property.
Because the most important part of an event isn’t always when your camera detects it.
